I'm scheduled to lift off the ground at Hartsfield in twenty-four hours, for what on paper will be the greatest adventure of my life. For the next month, I'll be one of millions of pilgrims from thirty-two different nations, all of whom will travel the world to support their country's national soccer team. I'll proudly represent my three hundred million countrymen while watching our boys play the teams from Italy, Czech Republic, and Ghana, and hopefully more. I'll traverse the German countryside and visit both Copenhagen and Prague. I'll see places history was made and hopefully witness a little of my own. And I'll post my experiences and pictures here for your rapt attention and vicarious entertainment.

I kind of quit my job for this. It had better be worth it.
