One flight down, seven to go. We were delayed three hours on the ground due to bad weather in New York, but that just allowed me to plug into the wall and watch a DVD on my new laptop. Its for the best, since I'm coming to the realization that the battery life on my $399 laptop might not be sufficient for watching entire movies on the plane. Maybe not for entire 30 second commercials either.

Tomorrow I'll visit with my grandmother for the day before going to JFK for the flight to Dusseldorf. She's 91 and had a pulmonary embolism and a massive heart attack in the last eight months, and yet I'm pretty sure she's still got more mental toughness than me. Maybe I'll get a picture of her wearing some DTOM gear and post it.
